Volunteers Needed!

Every year we're very fortunate to have a great team of volunteers who help us to run the festival smoothly and get to witness the creation of many new and exciting short films.

We need people in many capacities and on various dates, so here's the rundown. Please let us know if you want to be a part of the hottest Independent filmmaking festival in the country!

1) Friday August 12th, 2:30-8:00pm. Location: The Playhouse Rehearsal Space.

Duties include: Setting up the inspiration package items into their 'piles', registration of teams, and opening and registering the inspiration packages.

2) Sunday August 14th, 3:00-9:00pm. Location: The Playhouse Rehearsal Space.

Duties include: Formally receiving the films and scheduling screenings at Performance Works.

3) Festival Screenings, Monday and Tuesday (potentially Wednesday)  August  22 &  23,  Times TBA. Location: Performance Works on Granville Island.

This is the Festival Screenings of all films made on the weekend and are open to the public. We need a number of people to help at the door, selling tickets, People's Choice Award ballot control and collection, bar sales, set-up and strike.

This is an opportunity to see all the finished films and meet the filmmakers.

4)Gala Screening, Saturday August 27th,  Doors at 6:30pm. Location: Commodore Ballroom.

Duties include: Setting up chairs, flowers, all round help and then taking down the chairs. Of course you also get to see the Top 10 films of the festival in the fabulous setting of the Commodore ballroom.

5) Sponsorship PA-We are also looking for someone interested in assisting our Sponsorship Coordinator with obtaining and securing new & old support opportunities, picking up prizes and other general duties.
