2005 Commodore Gala Screenings

A record double-tie turned the Top Ten juried films of the seventh annual ReelFast 48 Hour Film Festival into a Top Twelve on Saturday night at the Commodore Ballroom.

"We were so pleased to be able to screen all twelve films at the Gala,” said executive producer Kathleen Duborg. “A couple of the films were shorter than expected and that gave us time to showcase everyone."

Co-executive producer, Derick Cobden noted the quality of the films. “You think after seven years you’ve seen it all and then you’re blown away all over again.”

Other professionals in the film industry were equally impressed:

"Just wanted to say a big huge THANK you for such a wonderful event. The films this year were absolutely amazing! Can't wait for next year."

"... a truly wonderful festival! You are a gift to the film community. [The Gala] screening gave me chills. We are a talented city and thanks to you, our filmmakers have an opportunity to prove it. Canada needs more people like you who support and encourage our own."
